The spare part
nobody makes any more

A twenty-cent piece of plastic breaks, and the manufacturer tells you the model is discontinued, that the part is not sold separately, or that the whole appliance has to go. That is exactly what we do here: one part, yours, when nobody makes it any more.

Which spare parts we make

Home appliances
Fan blades, dishwasher basket wheels, handles, tank lids, oven and washing machine knobs. Usually moulded plastic that turns brittle with the years.
Blinds and windows
Winder handles, tape end pieces, box covers, slider guides and stops. Parts nobody sells any more because the joinery went in twenty years ago.
Car, motorbike and bike
Trim pieces, moulding clips, fuse covers, glovebox brackets, bottle cages. Interior and fixing parts, never safety ones.
Furniture and household
Feet and pads, handles, drawer runners, shelf brackets, mechanism covers. When one part of a discontinued piece of furniture is missing, the whole thing stops working.
Toys and figures
A doll's arm, a tractor wheel, a game piece that got lost. It can often be copied from the mirror-image part on the other side.
Machines and workshop
Bushings, spacers, jigs, sensor mounts, guards. Tooling parts you cannot buy because they were never sold separately.

You do not need to have the file

Almost nobody has it, and it is not a problem. Send us two or three photos from different angles, with a ruler or a coin beside the part for scale, and the measurements that matter to you: the diameter that has to fit, the distance between screws, the thickness. We model the part from that and show you a view of it before anything is printed. We do not scan: for a small part, measuring and drawing gives a better result, and it also works with half a part that snapped in two.

How to send the photos

Which material suits which part

Almost every spare part that leaves this workshop is PETG: it takes heat, damp and knocks, which is what happens to a part that is actually in use. PLA stays for display work, because a summer inside a car will warp it. Resin only where fine detail decides it and the part will take no strain. Tell us where the part lives and what work it does, and we will pick.

What it usually costs

The part, if you have the file
Between 12 and 25 € up to 10 cm, between 25 and 50 € up to 25 cm and between 35 and 75 € from 25 to 50 cm. Most household spares land in the first band.
The modelling, if you do not
Between 0 and 15 €, once, depending on how awkward the part is; if it is simple, no charge. Once only: the file is then done, and a second unit costs nothing but the printing.
When it is not worth it
If the original spare sells for 8 € and arrives tomorrow, we will tell you so, and we will not charge you for telling you. This is for when that option does not exist.

These are orders of magnitude, not a quote. The real price comes out of the material and the machine hours, and we confirm it by email.

What we will not print for you

Parts your safety depends on
Brakes, towing parts, suspension components, scaffolding, anything holding weight above a person. A printed part fails all at once and without warning; it does not bend first.
Parts that live inside an engine
Nothing that has to take exhaust temperature, hot oil or constant pressure. Filament softens a long way below that.
Loaded gears running for hours
For a mechanism that turns freely, yes. For one that really pushes, the teeth wear sooner than you would like. We say so beforehand, not afterwards.
Copies of branded parts for resale
One part for you, the one that broke, no problem. A run of spares carrying somebody else's logo to sell on, no: that is theirs.

Questions

Can you copy a part if all I have is the broken one?
Yes, and that is the usual case. The pieces plus a few measurements are enough to rebuild it; if the part is symmetrical and you still have the one from the other side, better still, because it can be copied whole from that.
Will the printed part hold up like the original?
It depends what you ask of it. In PETG, a part that holds, covers, guides or trims holds up just as well and sometimes better, because it can be printed with thicker walls. What it will not match is a part working under fatigue or pressure, and in those cases we say so before taking the job.
What if the part is bigger than 25 cm?
It gets split into two or three pieces and joined. On a finished part you can hardly ever tell, and on a spare that sits inside an appliance, even less.
How long does it take?
The quote comes by email with the price and the lead time. A single part is usually a matter of days; what sets the clock is not the printing, it is the modelling when there is no file.
Can you print a file I downloaded from the internet?
Yes. Send us the MakerWorld, Printables or Thingiverse link and we will download it, you do not need to understand the format.

Tell us what you need

If you would rather not open your mail client, write to us from here. You can attach a photo of the part, or the file if you have one.

Whatever you send travels inside the email that reaches us and is not kept on any server of ours. We use it only to reply to you.
